Insights from Research on Hiring Discrimination: Implications for Career Services & College Graduates
The most common reason U.S. students cite for going to college is to improve work outcomes. However, getting a job after graduation is contingent upon successfully navigating employer hiring rituals. In this presentation, I bring together my research on campus recruitment with insights from across the social sciences to discuss how employers hire, the biases they bring to bear in evaluation, and what students and university administrators can do to increase labor market success.
