This webinar introduces empowHER Wisconsin Women in the Building Trades, which was established in 2019 to normalize the role of, support, and retain women in the construction industry and recruit more women into union construction careers. The presenter will discuss the scholarship regarding mentoring as a key component of achieving this vision, discuss the collaborative process of designing and launching this empowHER mentoring program, and offer an activity to demonstrate the unique issues women in this industry face.
