Pa Her

Position title: Clinical Professor of Counseling Psychology and Assistant Director of the Counseling Psychology Training Clinic

Dr. Pa Her is a Clinical Associate Professor of Counseling Psychology and Director of the Counseling Psychology Training Clinic at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is a licensed psychologist whose research integrates vocational psychology, cultural and family influences, and systemic equity issues to advance educational and career success for underrepresented college students, particularly first-generation, low-income students and students of color. Her work examines how these factors shape persistence, career development, and wellness, and she develops culturally responsive interventions to support these students. Her clinical interests focus on trauma-informed care for historically underrepresented students in higher education, especially at predominantly white institutions.

She was honored in 2025 as an Educational Opportunity Association (EOA) TRIO Achiever and received the Outstanding Early Career Professional Supervisor/Trainer Award from APA Division 17 in 2023.
